History

Our origins go back to 5 July 1961 when our founder, Otto Meiser, registered the company with the Saarbrücken chamber of crafts (Handwerkskammer). Back then, the company was a locksmith which, as a subcontractor, built vibrating feeders to order. Over the years, the range expanded. In as early as 1968, the son-in-law Theo Zewe entered the business as a business associate. Back then, Otto Meiser & Zewe was based in Merchweiler. Together, the partners developed their own designs in the field of conveyors (with a focus on foundry machinery) and successfully marketed the machines in many countries. Since 1985, Mr. Zewe has run the company alone. 

Over time, the company has become an independent payer in the market. The designs have been continuously revised and expanded. In 1989, operations had to be relocated to Spiesen-Elversberg due to the cramped conditions. In 1999, a suitable site was finally found where the company could expand its production. Zewe GmbH is a family-owned business in the fourth generation and since 2000, the company is located in Dillingen/Saar. The company Zewe GmbH continuous to expand their global market and get involved with more and more customers around the world. In 2020 Cornelia Zewe took over the business of Zewe GmbH as the owner and CEO. Following in 2023, the son of Cornelia Zewe, Joshua Zewe was implemented as CEO in fourth generation.
